Stafford Property Management

Stafford is a county town of Staffordshire and lies north of the West Midlands region between Wolverhampton and Stoke-on-Trent.

Despite being a smaller town compared to some of its neighbours such as Wolverhampton; Stafford has a lot to offer its residents when it comes to things to see and do, such as Stafford castle, which was built by the Normans on a hilltop in 1070. it was first made of wood and then later re-built using stone. The castle has been re-built twice since. The ruins, especially at night when they are illuminated, create a landmark for motorists on the M6 and train travellers on the west coast main line.

Stafford has a lot of character and still has elements of history throughout it. There is a real sense of the country surrounding it despite its close proximity with the M6. One of Stafford’s oldest buildings is St Chad’s church and one of the most visited places within Stafford is Victoria Park. Opened in 1908, Victoria Park is a 13 acre Edwardian riverside park. The park has many features such as an open-air paddling pool, bowling green, bird cages, greenhouse and two play areas.

Another feature within Stafford that generates visitors is Stafford Gatehouse Theatre. This is the town’s main entertainment and cultural venue. To add to the cultural aspect of the town and in the hope of generating the town’s tourism, an arts centre has been planned for the town in an attempt to offer more culture.

The main shopping street within Stafford is Greengate. This street is home to an Elizabethan Ancient High house, which is the largest timber framed town house in England. This town house is now a museum which continually changes its exhibitions.

For general, light entertainment Stafford has a multiplex cinema and plans to build another shopping centre and offices along the River Sow. In order for these plans to be carried out the Riverside Recreation Centre and former Tesco store/multi-storey car park would need to be demolished.

Stafford is also home to a large university campus, which is mainly focused on computer and teaching courses.

More developments that are proposed for Stafford include the construction of 77,900 new homes that are expected to be built in the Greenfield areas of Staffordshire, with 12,900 of these being built in Stafford itself.

These new homes will be a great investment for people involved in the housing market.
